The sound will be produced by a set of bells being jingled. The chiming of these bells will be controlled through the movements of the servo to which each bell will be connected. These servos will be our mechanical actuators in our setup.
The majority of the components will be powered by batteries. Since the servos require 4.8-V, we will use the appropriate batteries for the servos to accommodate this voltage. The only component not powered by batteries will be the Arduino, as it will be powered by the computer through the USB port.
The bells we have ordered range from low F to a high F. However, we may only utilize 5 of these bells, so only 5 notes from this scale will be used.
